Hi! I'm Amy

I write about recovery, mental health, and what it actually looks like to rebuild a life from the inside out. I also help people get the stories out of their heads and onto the page so they can share them with the world.

This Isn’t a Perfect Story

For a long time, my life looked like it was working. I was raising a big family, keeping things moving, doing what I thought I was supposed to do. But behind the scenes, I was struggling—with anxiety, addiction, and a version of myself I didn’t fully understand yet.

Everything changed when I stopped trying to hold it all together… and started telling the truth instead.

What Happened Next

Recovery didn’t come with a neat timeline or a clean narrative. It came with hard moments, uncomfortable realizations, and the kind of growth you don’t get to skip.

But it also brought something I hadn’t felt in a long time: clarity, honesty, and a sense that my story might actually matter—not just to me, but to someone else too.

What I Do Now

Today, I write, speak, and help others turn their stories into something meaningful. Through my books, my podcast, and my work with authors, I focus on the things we don’t always say out loud—sobriety, mental health, identity shifts, and starting over. Because the truth is, the messy parts are usually the most important ones.

Why I Share My Story

I don’t write because I have everything figured out. I write because I know what it feels like to be in the middle of it—and to wonder if things can actually change. If something I’ve written helps someone feel less alone, more understood, or even just a little more hopeful… then it’s worth it.
