Amy welcomes author Amber Cantorna to discuss her book Refocusing My Family: Coming Out, Being Cast Out, and Discovering the True Love of God – and all of the life experience that has led her to this point in her journey. Raised in a very religous, Amber discovered more about herself when she went off to college… and her parents weren’t accepting of any of it. Her parents’ reaction (and her writing about it in her book) helped Amber realize her story was also the story of other queer people and inspired her to want to build positively in the face of misunderstanding.
